Aberdeen Department of Parks & Recreation provides the Hazlet, Aberdeen Township, and Matawan Borough (HAM) Therapeutic Recreation Program, which serves individuals with disabilities in the Bayshore community.

We are a NJ DDD Support Coordination Agency. We compassionately serve adults with developmental disabilities and provide in and out of home services for recipients of DDD paid through Medicaid/assigned yearly DDD budget. There is no cost to families for our services.

Autism Behavioral Wellness provides in-home and virtual applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to children with an autism diagnosis.

We are a team consisting of multiple Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and multiple personal trainers. We run an ABA-based fitness, sports, and social skills program for children and adults with developmental delays.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center is home to the Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater, Axelrod Performing Arts Academy, and Axelrod Jewish International Film Festival. It enriches the imaginative, intellectual and creative soul, and cultivates an appreciation of our diverse communities through the pursuit of the arts.

Matawan-Aberdeen Bambino Buddy-Ball offers a baseball program for children who are ages 5-20 years old with special needs.  Players and buddies participate in a variety of activities such as batting, catching, throwing, and base running that are appropriate to the ability and ages of the players. Each event will last about one hour.

Our Summer Riding Program runs from June to August, selected days from 9:00am to 3:00pm and we offer before care and after care for our working parents. We have been conducting our riding program since 1970. Our riding program is for children from the age of 7 to 16, for the first-time beginner to the competitive equestrian.

Beacon of Life provides community-based care and services to people who may require nursing home level of care. PACE was created as a way to provide the elderly with flexibility to receive health care and recreational care needs while helping them remain in the comfort of their own community.

The department maintains seven different facilities that serve as homes to the various clubs, programs, and events that have, for so many years, enhanced the way of life for our families and individuals.

FINCC offers a variety of academic, enrichment, and social programs for children such as reading and math tutoring, test preparation, public speaking, a drama club, golf clinics, chess club/team,  Zumba for children, young entrepreneurs workshops, and girls and boys mentoring programs in addition to an AAU basketball program.

Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore serves over 10,500 girls ages 5-18 in Monmouth and Ocean counties, providing a time-tested leadership experience that inspires and motivates them to take action for themselves and their communities.

Young ladies learn self defense, self worth, self confidence, self awareness, self empowerment, self control and self love.

New Jersey Give a Kid a Dream believes all children should be champions of life and support their elevation by combining social services with life skills and the rigors of boxing.

Grown in Monmouth Camp is a partnership between Grown in Monmouth and the Park System. Campers explore multiple county parks such as Historic Longstreet Farm and Turkey Swamp Park as well as our local farms including Kula Urban Farm, Battlefield Orchards and Allaire Community Farm. Campers cultivate an appreciation for fresh food and local agriculture.

The Hazlet Library provides books, DVDs, magazines and books on CD to patrons with a valid library card.  Internet access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are available, as is wireless Internet service.  

Library cards are free to residents of Hazlet and West Keansburg, as well as several other local municipalities. 

The Hazlet Recreation Department provides programming and events at Hazlet Parks and venues.

Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

This temple provides religious instruction, cultural programs and children's activities.

The Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of classes at the Senior / Community Center such as cooking, ball room dancing, and yoga. During the summer months, we offer a 6-week Summer Day Camp program or children ages 6 to 11 at Cross Farm Park. The camp includes activities like arts and crafts, games, sports, and special events.

This year-long program offers a unique opportunity for High School Juniors in New Jersey to take workshops with professional artists, assist staff in a variety of departments throughout the organization, AND see every show in our season for free.

The goal of iCan Bike Lincroft annual one week long camp is to teach individuals with disabilities to ride a conventional two-wheel bicycle and become lifelong independent riders. We use adapted bicycles, a specialized instructional program, and trained staff to accomplish this goal.

Teaching people with disabilities to swim is not only a good idea, it’s essential. Creating an effective swimming program for people with disabilities takes a patient understanding of each swimmer as well as a well-thought-out plan for how the lessons can be adapted to each child. This is the foundation of our iCan Swim program.

Health Education/Wellness Coaching is specially designed for youth and young adults with anxiety/depression, ADHD, obesity, diabetes, chronic conditions, and behavioral challenges. Mindfulness and Stress Reduction Programs that support mental health, behavior challenges, and social-emotional learning.

Jazz Arts Project presents, performs, educates, and preserves the important legacy, influence, and role of jazz music in all its forms, through collaborative community outreach efforts, high-quality professional performances, as well as educational workshops, and other programs for youth.

Fitness and aquatic centers, preschool, arts and culture, and summer camp.

To ensure that the arts flourish within the community JSAC provides a venue for artistic expression as well as opportunities for participation in theater, music, art, dance, and activities for all individual ages. The Center is supported entirely by volunteers, has no paid employees and uses no professional fund-raising organizations.

Jersey Shore Discovery Center is a collective of various programs and experiences that caters to children and young adults development in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.) and the arts, including but not limited to graphic design, photography, and visual arts.

The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County is dedicated to the promotion of public awareness of the County's Jewish heritage for the education and enjoyment of both children and adults. Its mission is to present exhibits, programs and publications that celebrate, preserve, explore and illustrate the rich and unique history of the Jewish residents of Monmouth County, New Jersey, and their contribution to the community.

This program is for children, ages 9-17, who are strong ocean swimmers and can run for at least 10 minutes without stopping. Belmar Jr. Guards runs Monday-Thursday for 4 weeks in July.

The School-Based Youth Services Program (SBYSP) has been operational in Keansburg High School since 1999 serving 9th through 12th graders. SBYSP services include: mental health counseling; employment counseling; substance abuse education/prevention; preventive health awareness including pregnancy prevention; primary medical linkages; learning support; healthy youth development; recreation; and information/referral. 

Our Keyport Thursdays feature a borough-favorite open-air on-the-water Farmer’s Market, held at Fireman’s Park on West Front Street. Shop through a variety of farm-fresh fruits, vegetables, potted plants, kettle corn and plenty more—right around the bend from our Summer Concert Stage.

Keyport Recreation Commission is an all volunteer organization. We have a full schedule of fun family events scheduled throughout the year.

Liberty Haven Farm is a non-profit 501(c)3 Animal Rescue and Retreat, purchased in 2014. local It is a community non-profit sanctuary.

Limitless Adaptive Fitness is a 60-minute class designed for adults with special needs, featuring a structured routine of communication exercises, stretching, run/walk warm-ups, weight lifting, fitness stations, yoga, and positive affirmations to enhance physical and mental well-being.

Two River Theater Company, a state-of-the-art two-theater complex is located in Red Bank.  They produce an eight-play season of classics and contemporary plays, and new plays and musicals.

Make a show in a week! Each Monday, we start with a theme, a few songs, and some platforms, materials, and lights in an empty theater. Then each Friday, we have a show – written, performed and built entirely by our students. This isn’t your typical summer theater camp!
