The Guardianship Project was started as a solution to a pervasive problem facing many parents who have children with disabilities. This Project is a collaborative effort between South Jersey Legal Services, Inc. Visiting Nurse Association Health Group Healthy Families
The Healthy Families Program supports pregnant women or parents/guardians through home visits where a specially trained Family Support Worker brings education and resources to parents and children. Some of these resources include pregnancy, parenting, child development, and nutrition education; other community services include linkages to job training, schooling, child care, and transportation. Home visits last for up to three years.
