The BEST WAY TO SPEND SUMMER DAYS FOR YOUTH ENTERING 1ST–8TH GRADE
(The Summer Recreation program has changed for this coming summer 2025.)

PROGRAM TIME
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

3 AVAILABLE SESSIONS

• SESSION 1: July 7 – July 18
• SESSION 2: July 21 – August 1
• SESSION 3: August 4 – August 1

Your child’s day will be filled with on-site and off-site events, arts & crafts and activities.  Groups will go to the Township of Ocean pool 3 or 4 days per week for swimming, volleyball and basketball.  Daily activities are scheduled by the groups supervisor and counselors. Children are grouped by the grade level they are entering in September 2025. Children must be dropped off and picked up at Ocean Township Elementary School if they are not registered for bussing.

There are a few options for drop off and pick up.   Parents/Guardians can: 

Register for Summer Recreation – (All children must be registered in Summer Recreation) sign in their child/ren at the start time of 9:00 am and sign them out before 4:00 pm.

THEN you have the option to add bussing, early or late drop off/pick up if you need an extended day.

Choose to sign up for bussing which will take your child/ren to and from Summer Recreation.

Sign up for Early Drop Off and drop off their child/ren at 8:00 am

Sign up for Late Pick Up and pick up their child/ren before 5:00 pm.

Sign up for both Early Drop Off and Late Pick Up to extend their day or combine with bussing.

BUSSING will be available again this summer for transportation to and from the Summer Recreation Program.  Route pick up times normally begin around 8:00 am to bring our friends to the Summer Recreation program by 9:00 am.

Do you need to be at work early, the Early Drop-Off program extends your child’s day at OTES. The program will run from 8:00 am to the start of the Summer Recreation Program and will correspond to the Summer Recreation Sessions.

EARLY DROP-OFF FEES

The Late Pick Up program will stretch your child’s day to 5:00 pm for parents who need a little extra time in the afternoon.

SUN & FUN is a smaller summer program meant to extend your child’s summer activities. The program takes place at the Oakhurst Meeting Room the week before and after the Summer Recreation sessions.  There is no bussing available for Sun & Fun.

It is strongly recommended that families register for Summer Recreation on-line, through CommunityPass.  By registering on-line you have a better chance of locking into the program that you want for the summer. To facilitate your registration be sure your children are all listed on your family account prior to registration.
